Perhaps shocking to his hordes of adoring female admirers, his "look" was not glamorous. It was in fact too real, gritty and sometimes painful to watch, yet we could not tear our eyes away: we felt his fear, pain bewilderment and hopelessness: but secretly, when we look back on this movie, we really fantasize that HE is feeling that, for us.
So yeah, we celebrate the performance, but after all is said and done, this is the guy we want slipping a bed pan under our butts if ever we're incapacitated!
